Why on earth do we bother with cycle tracks?
Now isn't an “I Hate” campaign, it's really a concern for the welfare of cyclists. As a car user, I will point out that I have of course used buses, bicycles but mostly I have used cars to get me to my destination. That is my right; I purchased the road tax for them trips. I also legalize myself in case the situation happens where I may crash into a fellow driver. This obligation is called as motor insurance, which is another heavy expense that I am forced to pay to use our roadways.
Where is all this bitterness about my compulsory driving bills going you may be pondering? That's right you have guessed. Bicycles! I will reiterate I am in know way the two wheel Victorian Age iron stallion. I am fully aware that it helps save money and helps maintain their well being. In this green planet we reside one day in the future I may be forced to play my part and use a bike, and yes that to is fine with me. But if that day does arrive and I'm sat on the 2 wheel contraption trust me I will be stuck to the bike path.Far to much money was paid in this land to construct bicycle paths over bridges, along ring roads and under bypasses. This should be cash spent wisely, all the motors on the road and all the bikes on the cycle lane. But Hang on though, it is not because in this stupid land we have no law that punishes cyclists who go out of their way in not riding along the bicycle track. Surely you have witnessed, you just start that commute, their is a gridlock of traffic and what's at the front. A lycra clad superhero riding bicycle on the road just 3m away from the forgotten cycle path. Why does he need to be here? Maybe he feels he has a place on the road because the bike he is on cost more than some peoples used cars. Is the bicycle track to smooth and comfy and he prefers a bit of bumps on the road through his tiny seat. I don't know the answer but If I had to bike to my destination on route with a dual carriageway with lorries and buses on it. Believe I would be on that bicycle path, it is their so I might as well live longer.
Cyclists do not pay any road tax, so they shouldn't be in my way slowing me up. He doesn't pay anyinsurance so if his bike scrapes my motor there isn't a lot I can do as I'm not allowed to chase himin my car when he does one and jumps onto the scenic bike lane.

So this leaves us where? It leaves us with my plea. Cyclists I respect you, I know people amongst you, I have once been you. So please give me respect back and ride your bicycle on the cycle path, not on the road over the bridge so that all 3 lanes of lorries have to all of a sudden squash into justtwo and cause evil queues. Road tax helped build your designated paths and I need to see them used.
